  • Use WebP/AVIF images; compress hero images.
  • Preload LCP image: <link rel="preload" as="image" href="...">
  • Use a CDN (Cloudflare, etc.).
  • Reduce server response time (TTFB) — better hosting or caching.
Target: ≤ 2.5 seconds
CLS Cumulative Layout Shift
  • Set width and height on images and videos.
  • Reserve space for ads and embeds — avoid injecting content above existing content.
  • Use font-display: swap carefully; preload important fonts.
Target: ≤ 0.1
FCP First Contentful Paint
  • Remove render-blocking CSS/JS or defer non-critical scripts.
  • Inline critical CSS for above-the-fold content.
  • Minify HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Target: ≤ 1.8 seconds
TBT / JS Blocking time & scripts
  • Split long JavaScript tasks; use async or defer.
  • Remove unused plugins (WordPress) or third-party widgets.
  • Delay analytics/chat scripts until after page load.
Target TBT: ≤ 200 ms
Server Caching & compression
  • Enable GZIP or Brotli on Apache/Nginx.
  • Use browser caching headers for static assets.
  • WordPress: use LiteSpeed Cache, WP Rocket, or W3 Total Cache.
Mobile Mobile score lower?
  • Serve smaller images on mobile (responsive srcset).
  • Test with mobile network throttling in Chrome DevTools.
  • Reduce DOM size and avoid large carousels on mobile.
